From the franchiser’s point of view,the distribution system may become less effectve if some stores on a truck’s route closes early.

Still why don’t they have the data about which stores would pay a round-the-clock operation and which wouldn’t.

There’s some room to consider.

What led covenience stores to such a huge success, I believe, was the revolution of distribution.
According to the data of what is selling well what is not, they have been able to have the products they need delivered very efficiently, which has resulted in cutting cost and time.
If the number of convenience stores open after midnight decreases, the system could not function well. They seem to have come to the turning point, when both franchaisers and franchaisees think of how they should operate the stores from now on.
