I do not think Japan should change like what the theme says. There are two reasons.
To begin with, the effect on consumers would be negatively too big if the change takes place so rapidly. Not everyone owns a credit card or a debit card. Besides, many people, especially the elderly not only possess smartphones but also stay ignorant of how to handle electronic currencies. There would be a great confusion over the change. Moreover, privacy would always be a serious problem as some personal information, in addition to the payment, would always be transmitted automatically to the receiver on every transaction without permission of the purchaser. No one is sure about how properly and carefully his/her data would be handled. In conclusion, I do not support the imminent, perfect cashless society. [38] 2019年09月18日 (水) 00時30分
