I study English because it is a very straightforward language, which enables me to convey my intentions, emotions and feelings as they are. And I love the rhythm and the tone English has.
I have a tendency to use equivocal expressions in Japanese, which may have misled others quite often, while, in English, I find myself choosing rather direct expressions. I try to get as much information as possible on BBC or by reading English newspapers and magazines, so that I can use the language any time when necessary both in traveling overseas or on business.
