No.96 The name list of Japan's political parties in English. 投稿者:今神栗八 投稿日:2019年08月01日 (木) 01時01分 [ 返信] |
Some years ago when I took the 1st grade interview examination of the STEP Test or Eiken, I chose one on politics among 5 topics presented before me to choose. There I was asked by the examiner to name the political parties of Japan. I was successful as I remembered their English names. It might therefore be helpful for some of you some day. These are the English names of Japan's political parties. I don't give their Japanese names deliberately. Please guess:
Liberal Democratic Party, Constitutional Democratic Party, Democratic Party For the People, Komeito, Japanese Communist Party, Nippon Ishin Japan Innovation Party, Social Democratic Party, Reiwa Shinsengumi, Consideration the Euthanasia System, The Party of Protecting People from NHK, Olive Party, Happiness Realization Party, the Workers Party

No.98 euthanasia 投稿者:ボディーミルク 投稿日:2019年08月06日 (火) 13時37分 |
I am interested in the issue, euthanasia.
It is OK if medical technology makes a great progress. I suspect, however, people won't be able to die in the future, while the patients' or his or her families' costs or burdens just grow.
Though the party called "Consideration the Euthanasia System" is still suspicious, I want to see what they will appeal to people.
[from Free Dictionary on line]The term normally implies an intentional termination of life by another at the explicit request of the person who wishes to die. Euthanasia is generally defined as the act of killing an incurably ill person out of concern and compassion for that person's suffering. It is sometimes called mercy killing, but many advocates of euthanasia define mercy killing more precisely as the ending of another person's life without his or her request. Euthanasia, on the other hand, is usually separated into two categories: passive euthanasia and active euthanasia. In many jurisdictions, active euthanasia can be considered murder or Manslaughter, whereas passive euthanasia is accepted by professional medical societies, and by the law under certain circumstances.
